FES have established links with the Natural resources Defense Council of California (NRDC), USA. This reinforces the UK's environmental agreement set up with the state of California that was signed by Prime Minister Tony Blair and State Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar. As California has the world's fifth largest economy, it made sense to stimulate the USA out of its reticence to commit to more Sustainable Living. This particular group does sterling work against some apathetic members of the US public, and deserves British support. Visit www.nrdc.org
FES raises awareness and gathers support for the Jaguar Conservation Fund of Brazil, or the Fundo para a Conservacao da Onca-Pintada. This high profile organization does excellent scientific study of an amazing animal that is rarely seen but often persecuted. Visit www.jaguar.org.br .
Highfield Primary School, Hillingdon, have used FES' expertise in setting up a Conservation Area in order to promote the love and study of flora and fauna inside their school. The school has also joined UNESCO and the ASPnet school linking scheme, with interests in Nepal. However, this is an ongoing concern, so to get a proper update visit www.highfield.hillingdon.sch.uk .
In 2005 FES endorsed the Earth Charter and was later a delegate to the ECI+5 Conference in Amsterdam. This gave a framework for our involvement in UNDESD, and lead to our involvement with UNESCO. For more information about the Earth Charter International visit www.earthcharter.org .
The Foundation's working group is also a non registered charity. The 'Anglo-Nepalese Wildlife in Education Trust' or ANWET is the UK version of our working group in Nepal (Nepal Anglo Conservation and Wildlife Education Association, or NACWEASSON) Anwet
